I doodled. Mushrooms were my main doodle for years. By day, I was a busy CPA, in a busy firm, with all the stress that entails. I've always loved color, and I've always seen faces in patterns (leaves, clouds, wood grain, floral wallpaper). I often had the fleeting thought that if I can pick out that face, or that object in the pattern,

I've always loved color, and I've always seen faces in patterns (leaves, clouds, wood grain, floral wallpaper). I often had the fleeting thought that if I can pick out that face, or that object in the pattern, could I draw it, could I paint it? I hope the joy I feel comes through in my acrylic, pastel and watercolor paintings.

I started with acrylic, but paradoxically intimidated and fearless, I'll try anything. My "education" was haphazard, so I jumped from acrylic to charcoal to pastel to oil back to acrylic, finally watercolor paintings. The oil paints have been put away, but the remainder are at hand.
